The Heart of Las Vegas

The heart of Las Vegas beats with a vibrancy that's unmatched, yet within its pulse, there's a silent echo of those grappling with mental health challenges, often without the aid of a supportive community. I'm Chuck Stutz, and I've called this glittering city home for over 15 years, alongside my husband Andrew and our spirited dog, Gizmo. Our commitment to Las Vegas extends beyond its bright lights; we're devoted to touching lives through various nonprofit engagements, particularly those that champion mental wellness for every individual in our community.

My professional life at IGT involves meticulous scheduling, but it's my involvement in initiatives like 'Pride with IGT' and 'Advancing Cultural Awareness (ACE)' that fuels my passion for diversity and inclusion — the very threads that knit our society together. Yet, it was a personal tragedy, the loss of a dear friend to mental health struggles, that steered me towards a mission that now defines my existence.

The Community Counseling Center of Southern Nevada (CCC) stands as an oasis of hope in a desert where too many wander lost and alone. My involvement with CCC is more than a commitment; it's a calling. In the aftermath of my friend's passing — a soul once vibrant with volunteerism and community spirit — I found purpose in advocating for mental health awareness and fighting against the crippling stigma that keeps too many from seeking help.

Why is CCC so crucial to our Las Vegas community? Because it represents a beacon of inclusivity, a place where mental health care is delivered with compassion, where diversity is celebrated, and where healing is nurtured. Mental health is the foundation upon which fulfilling lives are built, and CCC is the architect of hope for countless individuals.

As we strive to illuminate the dark corners where mental health shadows linger, I extend an invitation to you to join us in this essential mission. Whether you seek assistance or offer support, let's unite to ensure that excellent mental health services are a right, not a privilege, for every Las Vegan. Together, we can be the lighthouse for those navigating the stormy seas of mental health challenges.

Embark on this journey with us; reach out to ccc@cccofsn.org. Your hand might be the one to pull someone back into the light. Let's build a community where every story is valued, and every chapter brims with hope. Because here, in Las Vegas, every heart and mind matters.
